WHAT TO WEAR
First things first, what to wear for a Jubilee celebration? We’re opting for all things red, white and blue, of course! Located just a moment's walk from buzzy Soho, Charlotte Street Hotel is more than just a place to stay. It comes complete with its own cinema room, spa and famous bar. Visit: Lina Stores, Soho
A must-visit while in central, the iconic Lina Stores first opened its doors in London in 1944 and has barely changed since. This classic Italian deli serves up everything from fresh restaurant fare to handmade pasta, dolci, cured meats and cheese. Its neo-mint storefront and bright and cheerful interiors are worth the visit alone. The perfect place to stop off ahead of a street party or picnic at the nearby St James’s Park.
Visit: The Royal Ballet, Covent Garden
What could be more Royal than the Royal Ballet? One of the greatest ballet companies in the world, it is a beacon in the heart of London and a driving force behind ballet as an art form. Their shows are comprised of a world-class orchestra and leading choreographers, composers, conductors, designers and creative teams to share an awe-inspiring theatrical experience, that will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Visit: Kew Gardens, Richmond
We’re flower fanatics here at Jasper Conran London, so a trip to the capital wouldn’t be complete without one of it’s iconic parks or landscaped gardens. For a full day out, head to Kew Gardens in Richmond. Originally founded in 1840, it’s one of the most extensive and important botanical gardens in the world, complete with over 50,000 species of plants. Don’t miss the iconic Palm House or the royal house. Take a picnic or indulge at one of the grounds restaurants and cafes. (Don’t forget to pay a visit to the garden centre on your way out!)
Visit: V&A Museum, South Kensington
We may be biased (!) but the Victoria and Albert is without a doubt one of the world’s best fashion and art museums. The collection plays host to over 2.3 million objects that span over 5,000 years of human creativity. Upcoming exhibits include The Art of Menswear, Beatrix Potter and insight into African Fashion. The Museum runs free daily tours; we recommend the fashion tour, naturally, to get acquainted with their collection.

Dine at… The River Cafe, Fulham
A firm favourite of the Jasper Conran team (and just about every A-lister in London), Ruth Rogers River Cafe is a linchpin of the West-Ends dining scene, well into its 34th year. While its famed terrace may be a little chilly come Winter, its buzzing dining room is bursting with bright colours to warm you up. We recommend the langoustine, washed down with a glass of Aperol Spritz.
Dine at… St Johns, Various Locations, London
St Johns is the pinnacle of British dining, priding itself on simple food and high-quality fare. They have three restaurants, a bakery, a wine shop and a wine company, with their two restaurants stripped back and minimal in aesthetic, resembling an old school dining room with an open plan style kitchen. Be sure to leave room for their famous madeleines, baked freshly on-site and served straight from the oven.

Located within the iconic setting of London’s Somerset House, Spring brings warmth, artistry and elegance within a beautiful dining space in London. The food is celebrated for its conviviality and seasonality, with a focus on heartfelt, in-season ingredients made for sharing. Sessions Arts Club is an urban sanctuary that sits in the old judges’ dining room at Sessions House, a grand Grade II* listed building in Clerkenwell. Abundant with original features, their dining room is surrounded by three terraces with fireplaces, a rooftop bar, and a garden. Staying a while? Dine at… Sketch, Mayfair
Undoubtedly one of the quirkiest venues in the city, Sketch is famed for its legendary space-aged ‘pod’ loos and bubblegum pink walls, showcasing 91 original artworks by acclaimed artist, David Shrigley. Every corner of this 18th-century townhouse features a Wes-Anderson-esque design, boasting a total of five themed restaurant/bar areas where you can feast on decadent tasting menus or treat yourself to their famous high tea.
